Born Stephon Jacquel Watt, S.J. Dub’s passion for music was triggered very early in his life. The rising hip-hop artist grew up in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and started creating songs when he was 14 years old. He has released several singles, EPs, and albums that are a reflection of his artistry, drive, and resilience in his personal life. Some of his latest releases include the songs “Silent,” “Soul,” “My Chick,” “Whippity Whip,” “In My Lane,” “Hunger,” and “Captain of the Ship,” to mention a few.
“I live my own life. Mostly, all my music has got something to do with what I’ve gone through, or somebody close to me went,” S.J. Dub revealed. “I feel like my music can attract anybody and everybody. You actually hear me. You don’t hear anybody else in my music. I’m the one that just hasn’t been detected yet, but soon I’m sure. I just always try to be a little bit more creative than my last creation,” he added.
S.J. Dub finds motivation from the love and support of his fiancé, children, and immediate family. Without them, he would not have braved the music industry. Dreaming of being able to provide them with a good life in the future has been more than enough motivation for him to continue to nurture his musical creativity and step up his game to grow his career further. Next to his family, he is also inspired by the loyalty and support of his fans, who have given him nothing but love since he started his career. While he still has a long way to go, he is extremely grateful that he has people who believe in him and what he can accomplish.
As he gets ready to take his career to the next level, S.J. Dub sees himself achieving his goals in the next few years. He strongly believes in the value of discipline and hard work and that these two important attributes are instrumental in helping him reach his dream to be on top. Becoming successful does not happen overnight, and it is for this reason that he is more than willing to do what it takes to make things happen in his career.
