Thomas Jøren Nielsen: Music Composer and Producer Extraordinaire Using Music as a Communication and Entertainment Vehicle

Thomas Jøren Nielsen is a multi-genre producer, composer and sound designer who has worked with many music greats and global brands. The 24-year-old music prodigy has established himself as a master of the musical craft and has been recognized by long-time music pros and legends.

JØREN has worked with superstars like Lil Baby, Offset, Lil Durk, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Lil Tecca, Machine Gun Kelly, Iann Dior, Travis Baker, Young Thug, and Post Malone. He has also worked on advertising campaigns with companies like Google, Vogue, and Mattel and composed original music scores for film studios like Hulu, Paramount, Disney, etc. JØREN’s work has spanned multiple domains in the entertainment industry, and he has proven his expertise through his perseverance, ability to adapt, and vast skill sets. “I have had the pleasure of working in the professional music, audio, and post-production industries for the last several years of my life. It is a blessing to know that my work has reached the ears of millions and millions of people around the globe (whether they know it or not),” he said.

Some of JØREN’s production credits appear on projects like T.I.’s latest album, The L.I.B.R.A, which charted at No. 9 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (via Billboard). He is credited as Sound Designer (SFX) on the recently released “Lil Baby, Lil Durk – How It Feels (Official Video),” which reached #3 on YouTube Trending and maintained a trending position well after the release. Additionally, Thomas was listed as composer on the first official announcement trailer for the series Only Murders in the Building, a Hulu original that features Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.

JØREN’s music targets lovers of house and dance music, and he has admitted to drawing inspiration from artists like  Diplo, Calvin Harris, John Summit, Dillon Francis, MK, and Meduza. “Every situation and project is unique; there is someone’s vision behind it which I believe is the coolest part of what I do—helping bring that vision alive and supporting it through the art of sound. Whether it is mixing, producing, recording, writing, editing, scoring—whatever it is, I always over-deliver and ensure that the quality of work is nothing short of outstanding,” he said.

Jøren’s musical journey was motivated by his musical background. He was exposed to music by his father, a keyboardist and musical genius. Listening to a lot of funk and jazz music growing up opened his ears to music, and at the age of 8, he was already playing the guitar and producing music by his 16th birthday. His father giving him a MacBook at an early age paved the way for him, and Thomas Jøren Nielsen says he will always be thankful for that alone.

His goal for the next five years is to win a Grammy award for a song he helped create. He is also working hard and fast at creating pieces worthy enough to top charts, receive gold and platinum certifications, and feature in major motion pictures. He sets the bar high for himself and hopes to be in a better place than today. “Five years ago, I never saw myself being where I am today, and in another few years, I hope to have grown in craft, influence and recognition,” he affirmed.
