“To whomever the Universe has drawn,

Yes I AM currently incarcerate. Serving a 25yrs sentence for an Armed Robbery with no violent background. But I was severely sentence due to the bad reputation of violence of my hometown (Savannah Georgia). I’m a father of two children which is why I’ve asserted myself to this extend. Because I was wrongly convicted (under the Double Jeopardy Clause). Where my case was intentionally delayed for 6yrs now added another 2 and a half years after a Court Of Appeals ruling relieving me of my conviction. Although I’m still awaiting a Court date. My children are growing older and facing great difficulties due poverty. Since I’ve been incarcerate I have exercised ever option to rehabilitate myself and my family. I have gotten an education graduating Valedictorian of my class. Resulting in me becoming a school teacher helping prisoners receive their GED and college Degree. I have been denied going further with my education because the system still has me documented to serving too much time required to enter college so I continue to teach others. The system also says I’m not parole eligible but the Parole Board orders me to do classes that won’t be of any relief to my situation but I’ve still met all prerequisites. Even gaining trades and certifications for future job opportunities. Since the last 10 yrs I have worked on every area of myself that I could think of. I am not without morale and principles. Hence, I have reason to assert myself even to this measure for the sake of my family and children. So to those who choose to hold to their disgust about me growing out of my ignorance. You are more than welcome to misjudge me all you like. Its not as easy as it looks. Please don’t assume you can fathom such aspects of livelihood and think with any urge that it is simple to stand up alone in my situation. Or take on the anxieties of being this overwhelmed every second. I lay in the core of immorality, jealousy, envy, hate and ruthlessness where all these reside. I’m not apart of anything which poses me as a threat to those who are. Its Accountability I have chosen; to rise above hopelessness and exhaustion. I risk my life because I’m a parent and for the sake of representing/honoring all RACES  before me and after me. I face more than just the subjection of the system. I face fears that 90% of humanity hasn’t been introduced to. Don’t think I’m not deserving as you are; for we were born ignorant that we be made fit to edify. What if I told you that I have solutions that can help the world and authority. What if I brought things and an inheritance that couldnt be purchased with money. Here is the whisper I leave for you out of the wilderness. I AM the Initiative and you will know that the face of my Father is everywhere. You have Now been Introduced.”

Spoken Word

Titled:

 “Black As I AM”

Yes I am a man who makes mistakes. Yes I am a man who knows better. Yes I am a man who is just as worthy as you are to witness God. For what is in me is ripe and ready for harvest and as a well I am drawn here; amongst despise I am to rise. As a wisdom of that here before the foundation of the Earth. Here amongst despise I am to rise; as a breath resurrected of thy ancestor. And with this exhale I shall resurrect so rise truth and be set apart; for fear is but a shadow. Rise truth and be set apart; for light is in living color. Rise truth and be set apart;;for you are that which I AM. The tone by which thy beingness resides the ambience upon all possibility. Here before whom is thy bodily aspect of such an elaboration that variety is the mere proposal of recess. To articulate being, one of a kind yet one too many. Yes I AM all about; witnessing thy beingness to whatever color it may. Have thy share of one light to circumstance, Oh you minute means; have thy share of one time space and moment. That as of now, yet that as of now. Thy only gesture of consciousness. Yes I AM aware about that which is beyond destination. Where here lies secrecy that enmesh the absolute. Know thy darkness is the founding light to all shades; but how bright is this light of many color when comprehension shall not rest upon? Oh so bright that one is not seen nor heard. Only in part of one’s entirety. For there is no difference in one being two or three. For one has no excuse to exclude that which is of thy only representation. See Black as I AM that which you are. One nothing can be yet The One all must claim.

He further adds, “I have taken the courage to pursue my dreams and talents while incarcerated because my next second isn’t promised. So I project with faith that it makes a difference in your life. Be encourage and understand that Life is only an exchange between you and God nothing else.”
