Harry Styles Dressed Up for Another Harryween Concert

Have you participated in the Halloween spirit? Because Harry Styles did.

The My Policeman actor exchanged his uniform with a sweet leather jacket, black jeans, and a sleek hairstyle. Styles portrayed Grease’s Danny Zuko. Of course, this isn’t the first time the actor dressed up. It is part of his annual “Harryween” concert celebration.

Styles’ look paid tribute to Danny’s last outfit in the 1978 film musical but with a little splash of Harry. The singer’s leather jacket and jeans were designed with the word ‘Harryween’ in shining red gems on the back.

The award-winning artist didn’t just dress up as the fan-favorite greaser on Monday night. In addition, he headlines the sold-out Kia Forum crowd in a fantastic version of Olivia Newton-John’s “Hopelessly Devoted to You” from the movie.

Pictures of Newton-John – who died in August – were flashed on a big screen above.

Styles live up to Danny’s character all evening by referencing some Grease lines in his performance. His references included: slicking back his hair on “Satelite,” throwing a finger gun halfway through “Daydream,” and playing the Hand Jive in “Adore You.”

His Band Were In Too

However, he wasn’t alone in dressing up for the spooky season. The singer’s band entered the fun with their Grease-inspired looks.

Sarah Jones – the drummer – wore Sandy’s signature black spandex outfit. Meanwhile, Elin Sanberg – the bassist – portrayed Rizzo and Ny Oh – the instrumentalist played Frenchie. Mitch Rowland – the guitarist – played Coach Calhoun, while Yaffra – the keyboardist – portrayed Eugene Felsnic. And Pauli Lovejoy – the percussionist – donned a Pink Lady outfit.

Styles created the tradition of Harryween. Last year, he played on two Halloween-inspired shows at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

During the first night, Styles and the whole band rocked the stage as characters from The Wizard of Oz. Styles dressed as Dorothy and sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

The second night saw Styles wearing a Pierrot clown outfit – which Gucci designed. Furthermore, he played a cracker rendition of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.”

Harryween has, therefore, become a signature event for Styles and his band.

Mastermind of Harryween

Styles gained traction after he competed for The X Factor. Later, he exited the show with a boy band named One Direction. 1D was composed of Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.

The band became one of the world’s most famous boy groups, selling smash hit after smash-hit. However, they announced an indefinite break in 2016, not long after Malik left the band.

In 2017, the singer dropped his self-titled solo album via Columbia Records. The album debuted at the top spot in the UK and the US. Meanwhile, his second album, Fine Line (2019), debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.

Fine Line brought in the largest first-week sales by an English male artist title for Styles. In addition, the album made it to Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” in 2020.

Styles earned several awards in his 6-year-long solo career. It includes two Brit Awards, a Grammy Award, an Ivor Novello Award, and an American Music Award.

Furthermore, he has appeared in movies like 2017’s Dunkirk and 2022’s Don’t Worry, Darling and My Policeman.
