Who is Dmitry Bivol

Dmitry Bivol is a professional boxer from Russia and the current WBA, IBF, WBO Middleweight Champion. He is affectionately known as “The Doctor” for his scientific style of boxing where he learns complex patterns and patterns of opponents.

Bivol is an Olympic Gold Medalist and has won numerous accolades in the sport including a Gold Medal at the 2003 World Championships as well as being named European Amateur Boxing Champion (2003), Russian Amateur Boxing Champion (2004).

Professional Career

Dmitry Bivol turned professional on in 2016 and has had a great run of success. He has won 21 of his 24 professional bouts, with all but one win coming by way of knockout. His amateur pedigree certainly translated well to the professional ranks and it’s clear that he has much more talent than many other young fighters with mediocre amateur careers have shown.

Bivol won the WBA and IBF Middleweight Titles by way of TKO, against legendary boxer Felix Sturm and most recently won the WBO Middleweight belt from Sullivan Barrera.
