Rising Artist Mjlusane Shares His Journey in Cementing His Place in the Music Industry

When the world entered a digital era, no one expected how significant innovative technology would impact us. Businesses found their works simplified, and talented individuals could find a platform that could showcase their gifts from the comfort of their homes. Musicians could finally make a name for themselves with streaming services like Spotify and SoundCloud. Mjlusane is one of the thousands of aspiring musicians taking advantage of his opportunities.

Born in Americus, Georgia, Marcus Lusane was brought up by Marcus Lusane Sr and Tiffany Lusane. He is brothers with Joshua Lusane, another rising athlete who excels in basketball, and Lauryn Lusane. Marcus’s passion for music became evident when he was three years old. His parents, delighted and proud to have musical talent in the family, supported him as they believed he was meant for more extraordinary things.

Marcus was given a chance to learn how to play the drums. Not wasting his parents’ belief in him, he would study hard and blend fun into his practice. By ten years old, Marcus was allowed to join the music ministry of his church. There he put his studies to practice and developed his love to perform.

While music was the area that he excelled in, Marcus would also delve into sports, showcasing his athleticism. He would tackle football, basketball, baseball, and tennis. People who witnessed his games could see that he had the potential to make it as an athlete, but ultimately music would be where he shone the most.

In 2016, Marcus would push himself to create music. He was particularly adamant about thriving in rap. While the genre was popular, it was unfamiliar grounds for the would-be musician. Nevertheless, Marcus persisted and performed under the stage name Mjlusane.

Mjlusane would polish his craft, but he was not one to practice in silence. He would find venues and shows in his hometown where he would perform for crowds. While it seemed like an arduous task to others, Mjlusane enjoyed what he was doing, and he would slowly get recognized as developing talent. Mjlusane would spend more time devising his lyrics and verses in the studio.

While developing his sound, Mjlusane took inspiration from his favorite artists — Young Thug and Drake. Influenced by their sound, he came up with a unique sound that could get listeners to nod with the rhythm and soak up his lyrics.

As an artist, Mjlusane brings his listeners to walk in his shoes while sharing his life experiences. Sticking to his church roots, Mjlusane avoids rapping with profanities, making him a unique gem in his development as an artist. Additionally, he has established a record label called Ten4MoneyGang Entertainment. Despite being a new label, it had already snagged six artists, including Mjlusane.

Aware that he still has a long way to go, Mjlusane is enthusiastic about his career. He foresees growth as a successful artist, standing among the music industry’s biggest names with Ten4MoneyGang Entertainment.

Get more updates on Mjlusane’s music by following him on Facebook and Instagram. You can also find him streaming on Apple and Spotify with a couple of freestyles on YouTube.
