Authenticity can never be faked. When a fresh, new voice emerges that is so raw, so authentic, and so vulnerable, it is bound to capture the attention of the world. Rapper and producer, Ohmy, is that voice. His debut single, “The Statement”, is poised to connect and resonate with a global audience. And this is only the beginning.

Ohmy’s literal beginnings originated in Liverpool, Western Sydney Australia. Born in April 1995 to Brazilian immigrants who arrived in Australia around 1989, Ohmy’s music is deeply rooted in tales of grit, grind, and the duality of his heritage. The story of his immigrant parents serves as a backbone to his music. Enduring hardships and hustling for every dollar, they exemplified resilience, instilling in him values that would set the stage for his musical journey.

From early on, Ohmy was caught between two worlds. While raised with traditional values, he also navigated the modern complexities of Australian life. This juxtaposition became a fertile ground for creativity. When he faced personal challenges, he turned to music. “Processing my thoughts and feelings through writing lyrics made me feel better,” he says, reflecting on the therapeutic effects of his work. And with the conviction that his words could inspire others, he shared his world, raw and unfiltered.

As with any artist’s journey, the path was not without hurdles. For Ohmy, the music industry presented its own set of challenges. The scrutiny, criticism, and vulnerability of putting oneself out there could be overwhelming. But he had a strategy, “Preserving my energy and redirecting it into my craft,” he shares. Juggling between his music passion and his day job of driving trucks, Ohmy demonstrated unwavering dedication. “The dream won’t work unless I’m consistent,” he emphasizes, pointing out the importance of time, effort, and investment in your dreams.

Ohmy’s distinction in the vast sea of artists is his unflinching authenticity. “Nothing I share in my songs is fake,” he adds. “I speak on things others are afraid to. Love, hate, politics, individual freedom, unifying people and giving them a voice.” For Ohmy, it’s not just about making people feel. It’s about making them see. His mission is clear: “I’m here to change the world. One song, one collaboration, one handshake at a time.”

With six years in the music industry, Ohmy is on his way to realizing his mission. Through the many hats he wears: mixer, producer, songwriter, performer, business owner, and more, he is shaping his destiny. Every step on his journey is meticulously calculated, and every experience and encounter feeds into his music and furthers his ultimate goal.

As for the future, Ohmy envisions himself not just as a musician but as an agent of change. “I aim to be a global icon and businessman. At my core, I want to connect with people and discuss things society often overlooks.”

His debut single, “The Statement”, is just the beginning. It’s a glimpse into the heart and soul of an artist determined to make an impact, to tell stories, and to unite. With Ohmy on the scene, the music industry is in for a transformative ride.
