Eleven-year-old musician and performer, Ibni Rocks, has stepped on stages across Europe, mastered instruments before most children pick a hobby, and released two excellent albums, Dragonfly and Infinity.

Ibni is working to secure his place at the Walden School’s Five-Week Young Musicians Program, a prestigious opportunity for rising composers and musicians. To raise funds, Ibni has turned to the one thing he knows well: his creativity. He is determined to push his dream forward.

This is why Ibni has decided to sell his own artwork. He has launched this project with limited prints and fresh illustrations to raise £8,000-£10,000.

He has 100 limited prints of a sacred geometry that he is selling for £100 each. He is also selling copies of his watercolor painting of a handpan on a boat for £20 each.

But First: Who is Ibni Rocks?

Ibni is a drummer, handpan player, pianist, composer, songwriter, vocalist, actor, and magician. His early start in music shaped much of his life. He began drumming at three. His first concert came at seven with the Master Drummers of Ghana in Somerset. Since then, he has shared the stage with artists such as Kabecao, Alexandre Lora, Mumi and Mobius Loop. Ibni teaches handpan, piano, and drums across the UK and Europe through his Handpan Music Academy®.

His creative world extends beyond music. He is a member of The Young Magicians Club and he attends monthly meet ups at the Magic Circle headquarters in London.  Ibni performs close-up, parlour, and stage magic.

His goal is clear in his own words: “I want my songs to be as famous as ‘happy birthday.’” The Walden program represents another step toward that dream. Walden’s Five-Week Young Musicians Program focuses on composition. It challenges young artists to write, perform, and think thoroughly about their craft. For Ibni, this opportunity is another step towards his growth as a composer and performer.

The Art Campaign Powering His Dream

To reach the financial target, Ibni has created a structured plan using his visual art. He has produced 100 limited prints of a sacred geometry design. Each piece sells for £100. Six were sold in the first week alone.

These prints are shipped worldwide in protective postal tubes. Supporters can purchase them directly through his website.

He is also selling A4 copies of his watercolor painting titled Handpan on Boat for £20. This artwork was created during his first album tour and reflects his connection to music and travel. Both items feature direct ordering options through PayPal or card payments. The goal is to keep the process simple for supporters.

The funds collected from these pieces go toward program fees, travel, and living costs during the five-week stay. On his Instagram, Ibni talks about why this is important for him. His spirit to achieve his goal is truly commendable.

Why the Walden Program Matters

The Walden School is known for shaping young composers through immersive study. Students write music daily. They collaborate. They work with mentors and peers who share the same intensity.

For a young musician like Ibni, this program is an exposure to ideas, sounds, and structures that push creative boundaries. He has performed at festivals, toured across countries, and released multiple albums, yet he still seeks growth. Walden offers an environment built for that next step.

His future plans include:

  • Improving composition at a professional level.
  • Strengthening performance skills across his instruments.
  • Working with musicians who challenge and inspire him.
  • Bringing new ideas back to his academy and workshops.

Supporters who purchase his art are investing in these next stages. Each print carries more meaning than its price. It powers the transition from a talented child musician to a serious composer with worldwide potential.

Conclusion

Ibni is at an important point in his artistic life. His accomplishments already fill pages, stages, festivals, and classrooms across Europe. He pursues higher goals with the same energy he shows on stage. His fundraising campaign shows the combination of creativity, discipline, and maturity far beyond his age.

By selling his artwork, he has turned his talent into a resourceful path forward. Walden represents opportunity. His art represents effort. Together, they can put Ibni’s future goals and plans into action.

Readers who wish to support his next chapter can help by purchasing a print or sharing his story. Every contribution pushes him one step closer to a summer that could reshape his future in music.
