Fans of Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles might need to worry a little, honey.
Multiple sources told PEOPLE on Friday that the couple were “taking a break” after their two-year relationship. While many reported the split was amicable.
“He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her works in L.A.,” one source said. “It’s a very amicable decision.”
The source added: “They’re still very close friends.”
“Right now, they have different priorities that are keeping them apart,” another source stated.
Sure, Styles is ready to hit the road and fly overseas for an international leg of his Love on Tour world shows. This comes after his extensive road trip to five cities in North America.
Meanwhile, Wilde currently resides in Los Angeles with her children from her relationship with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. Their daughter’s name is Daisy, 6, and her son, Otis, is 8.
On Nov. 15, Wilde and her kids were spotted at Styles’ concert in Los Angeles. She was also spotted in the audience at Styles’ Harryween Halloween night show on October 31.
Many saw the couple kissing in New York in September. This is after rumors spread about their rocky relationship during the Venice Film Festival.
Styles and Wilde have been going out for nearly two years. While they didn’t directly address questions regarding their relationship, many initially saw them holding hands in January 2021.

Rocky Relationship
The two met while Wilde Styles was directing Don’t Worry Darling. The film left behind a number of commercials and rumors about their relationship. Hearsays about Wilde and Florence Pugh having a rift over Wilde’s behavior with Styles on set to spread like wildfire.
Furthermore, Sudeikis and Wilde’s former nanny alleged that Wilde’s relationship with Styles caused massive strife in the household.
Sudeikis and Wilde released a joint statement referring to the nanny’s allegations as “false and scurrilous.” Moreover, they said it is part of an 18-month campaign against them.
However, Wilde indirectly addressed an issue by sharing the recipe for the salad dressing on her social media.
Sources acknowledged to PEOPLE that the controversy surrounding their relationship proved tough.
“The public pressure on them has been difficult,” they stated. “They’ve had ups and downs throughout the relationship.”
Spotted
Even though they were sighted several times together, the couple didn’t address their relationship. Instead, they only repeatedly said they wanted to keep their private lives out of the limelight.
“I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” Styles said in an August interview with Rolling Stone.
“There’s always going to be a version of a narrative. And I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”
In an interview with Vogue, Wilde shared comments in line with Styles in December 2021.
“It’s obviously really tempting to correct a false narrative. But I think what you realize is that when you’re really happy, it doesn’t matter what strangers thing about it. All that matters to you is what’s real, and what you love, and who you love.”
