He expertly sings, produces, acts, raps in three languages, mixes, records his creations, and masterfully plays multiple musical instruments, including the guitar, keyboard, and percussion. He is the ultimate performer as he also writes his songs in multiple genres. He is always striving to deliver the best to his audience and has partnered with Nigerian pop star 2Face and Chicago rap legend Chief Keef, hosting various musical productions. He is a truly creative individual, continually pushing against the norm and merging his acting, rapping, and songwriting skills to illustrate and pass a powerful message to his audience about his experience in life.
YaThatIsAll is actuating his artistry in a stroke of genius by launching a comic book style fan art alongside his new mixtape. A fan art comic book will accompany each song on the mixtape illustrated lyrics, conveying a visual understanding to his attentive audience. The project will soon be made available via his website and his Instagram. The mixtape is in line with his trademark, rightly named Akata Music Afrobeat Rap Styles, which also integrated his 2015 singles “The Trailer” and “Hold On” in 2018.
Akata Music Publishing is the original Afro-hip-hop trendsetter in Chicago. It has helped groom artists including Fredo Santana, Trey Savage Glo, Chief Keef, Lil Flash, BloodMoney GBE for a successful career in the music industry. When asked the source of his motivation to create his brand, YaThatIsAll shared that he’s inspired by a number of mentors from all over the world. From Digiglo’s Peeda Pan to West African media moguls like Kenny Ogungbe. He goes on to say “One thing they both have in common: they built successful music/multimedia empires while also uplifting the culture and people around them.” Additionally, he admitted that finding himself right next to or a degree of separation from so many top names in the music industry fueled his passion and motivated him to build his brand. YaThatIsAll is vocal about encouraging diversity in the music industry. He raises awareness and uses his voice and talents to promote African and African-American inclusivity in the music scenes. He hopes to set the pace and encourage other up and coming artists to leap their passion and dreams.
