He’s performed in a palace for a Queen, at a princess’ royal wedding, in front of four different Presidents of the United States, multiple Popes, at the Olympics, and in many more notable places, but there is no performance more special than the one Andrea Bocelli does every summer in his hometown.

“It is an extraordinary and powerful emotion to see, every time, how several thousands of people converge from all over the world right here in my humble Lajatico, in this natural basin that will be returned to nature the next day, moved by their desire to share in an experience of good music and beauty,” said Maestro Bocelli of the upcoming event.

Andrea Bocelli grew up on a farm in Lajatico, Tuscany, Italy, where his family sold farm machinery and had a small vineyard where they grew grapes and made wine. Anyone who has come from humble beginnings and then risen to fame can relate to how Maestro Bocelli feels about going back to his hometown and performing for such a large audience.

The Concert of the Summer

Maestro Bocelli will be performing at the Teatro del Silenzio amphitheater in Lajatico, Tuscany, a location that has been specially crafted specifically for his performance. When the event was first announced by Andrea Bocelli in September of last year, the date was set for a single performance on July 27th of 2023, but he has since added another date of Saturday, July 29th.

While he gives a hometown performance in the same place every summer, no two events are the same. Each year, Andrea Bocelli himself selects the unique theme, the music that will be performed, and the guests that will join him on stage, making this an event you simply do not want to miss.

“What is experienced with live performances, on stage but also in the audience, in terms of the intensity and quality of the exchange of energy that is set in motion, cannot be replaced by the virtual world. The 2022 edition confirmed to us how much we need to come together, to be together and to get back to the arts and culture,” said Maestsro Bocelli. “Every year, the Teatro del Silenzio represents a new challenge because of its complexity and unconventionality. It is wonderful that there is another year of this event. It is a privilege to be there, in the desire and certainty that we will experience an evening of great emotion together. If the spectators return home a little more serene, with a smile on their faces, well I will be a happy man, because I will have achieved what I set out do to.”

While some sites have already sold out of all tickets, there are still others with tickets and special hotel packages left. To book your stay and witness this special event, visit here.
