A true survivor, TaniA Kyllikki, Britain’s songbird sweetheart, came dangerously close to passing away last month of October due to a long eight-week kidney infection that had spread as a result of her autoimmune biologic treatments, which nearly took her life. After receiving four different antibiotics, her infection turned to sepsis, and she was then given four rounds of “Gentamicin” through an IV to save her life. TaniA’s husband, who is also her music partner Rynellton (Garry D. Hairston), said on his social media that his wife felt like she was leaving her body and that it has been a frightful time for the power duo, who are still long-distance with TaniA in Berkshire, UK, and Rynellton in North Carolina, US. The British songstress is currently resting comfortably at home, having maintained her unwavering trust in God throughout the ordeal and has shared she’s hopeful she will be back in the recording studio soon to finish her second studio album, “Free-Spirited.”
TaniA Kyllikki is an extremely humble artist who treats her followers like family and enjoys having genuine conversations with them. Raising the standard for what is possible, not just as an independent singer-songwriter but as a person who battles a great deal with her health yet refuses to allow it to stop her from doing what she loves, is a source of motivation for countless people, both inside and outside the field of music. TaniA rose to prominence after her self-written debut album “Why Chapter One,” which independently charted highly among mainstream artists in 2022. Her extensive songwriting skills and wide-ranging, soulful vocal range inside five octaves—including the whistle register—have earned her the nicknames “The British Songbird,” “Lyrical Genius,” and “The People’s Artist.” She also had the support of R&B star NEYO, presenting her song “Remind Me” to the world in 2021. Her discography of music has massed streams in their millions independently. H.W.C. has become a fan favorite, with the video alone reaching over half a million views on YouTube and was shared on the renowned celebrities’ Magic T.V. website. Her entire discography has been met with critical acclaim and commercial success upon each release, independently rising in her own right.
Her most recent hit, “In These Eyes,” has been met with rave reviews and hundreds of thousands of listens. TaniA, aided by her husband and producer Rynellton (real name: Garry D. Hairston), went all out on this track. The musical Dare Devil incorporated a variety of genres, including R&B, soul, hip-hop, rock, and Egyptian pop, into the mix to produce a magnificent sound that has TaniA’s signature all over it. Under Rynellton’s rap feature, her singing prowess shines out with her distinctive heavenly vocal high belting and Arabic-style melodies. The entire song is a beautiful love story that happens at first sight. TaniA has once again told a beautiful story that will remain forever through her lyrics. And yet again, Rynellton demonstrates why he is such an underappreciated music producer in the music industry.
The dynamic team is set to make an indelible mark with their musical output as well, so it’s no surprise that anticipation is building for 2024’s “Free-Spirited,” TaniA’s second studio album. There is no doubt that Britain’s sweetheart songbird, TaniA Kyllikki, will soon bless our ears with her next single release now that she is home from the hospital and slowly on the mend.
