Beyoncé Dominates Billboard’s Monthly Boxscore Recap for Third Consecutive Month

The Queen of Pop Sets New Records in Touring Revenue and Ticket Sales

Beyoncé has once again secured the top spot on Billboard’s monthly Boxscore recap. Her Renaissance World Tour raked in a staggering $121.9 million and sold 476,000 tickets across nine shows in September alone. This marks the third consecutive month, and fourth time overall, that she has led the Top Tours chart. This achievement ties her with Bad Bunny and is only surpassed by Elton John’s seven-time record.

Beyoncé’s financial success is also noteworthy. For the third month in a row, she has grossed over $100 million, setting an all-time monthly record of $179.3 million in August. The Renaissance World Tour has become the highest-grossing tour by a woman, a Black artist, and any American soloist in Boxscore history. The tour has amassed $579.8 million and sold 2.8 million tickets since its May 10 kickoff.

In September, Beyoncé also topped the Top Boxscores chart with three shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, grossing $45.5 million and selling 156,000 tickets. She followed herself at No. 2 with two shows at Houston’s NRG Stadium, which grossed $31.3 million and sold 123,000 tickets.

While Beyoncé is part of a small but growing group of solo women who have significantly impacted Boxscore’s top earners, she is one of only three women on September’s Top Tours list. P!nk and Lady Gaga also made the list, with their earnings contributing to 22% of the top 30’s combined revenue, largely due to Beyoncé’s massive haul.

The diversity in this month’s rankings is also worth mentioning. The top five spots on the Top Tours chart represent different genres, including country, rap, rock, Latin pop, and Beyoncé’s blend of pop, R&B, and dance music. This is the first time in the 39 editions of the Top Tours chart that each of the top five acts represents a different genre.

Overall, September’s figures have set new records, with all 30 tours grossing more than $10 million. Live Nation, the concert giant, also set a new milestone by reporting grosses of more than $1 billion for the first time, with over 8.4 million tickets sold in September.
