David Timothy’s Foundation of Faith as a Global Worship Leader

As David’s popularity rises, his story reveals the deep roots of his music and the central role of faith in his life. His journey began at a young age, marked by an unwavering dedication to both his craft and spiritual path. This commitment has shaped his unique approach to music and is what truly sets him apart in the industry.

A pivotal moment for him, which would take him to lead worship globally, happened at just 15, during a church service in Stockholm. David jumped at the chance as the worship team invited the youth to join them for the final song. Eric Liljero, Hillsong Stockholm’s creative pastor, noticed his enthusiasm and gave him his first real shot on stage. With a mic in hand and a crowd in front of him, David knew this was exactly where he was meant to be.

That moment was a spark leading to a six-year journey with Hillsong Stockholm. He became a regular part of the worship team, leading youth, kids, and main services. Beyond leading worship, David dove into production roles, even taking on responsibilities for events like summer camps, experiences that helped shape his skills and grow his faith.

David’s musical horizons broadened by visiting Hillsong across Sweden, performing at Christian festivals, and leading camps with hundreds of attendees from around the world. His passion for music deepened, along with his connection to his faith.

Eventually, David felt called to further refine his craft and moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. There, he connected with Hillsong Boston, and though it wasn’t easy to break in at first, his determination paid off. He became one of the main worship leaders, further cementing his place within the Hillsong community. His time with Hillsong wasn’t just about leading worship, though. David showed off his wide-ranging talents, from performing a dance solo at the Globen Arena in Sweden to rapping on stage at London’s O2.

As his name suggests, David is a man after God’s own heart, and as his music evolved, so did his desire to tell his own stories and glorify Jesus in the mainstream. Eventually, he made the move to Los Angeles, ready to focus on his solo career. Reflecting on this next chapter, David says, “I’ve been on a spiritual journey, growing closer to God and finding my purpose through Jesus.” His upcoming songs reflect that journey, diving into themes of love, self-forgiveness, personal growth, and deeply personal and relatable stories.

David’s rise from a worship leader in Stockholm to performing on global stages is driven by more than just talent; it’s his deep faith and commitment to sharing something meaningful with his listeners. Every song, every performance, is filled with a sense of purpose and grace.

As David continues to create music that resonates on a spiritual level, it’s clear he’s more than just an artist to watch. His story is about faith, perseverance, and following a calling. While fans eagerly await his next releases, what’s clear is that David’s heart for music, rooted in his faith, is what makes him stand out. His goal is to inspire and uplift, one song at a time.
