Decent Da Don, the Artist Set to Impact the Scene With His Distinctive Music Style

Aside from providing people with a companion to their road trips, crying sesh, and parties, music has always served as a medium for sending across political, social, and economic messages as well as a tool for inspiring action and influencing lives for the better. For Guadalupe Arias, better known as Decent Da Don, music made a difference in his life, and through his discography, he aims to do the same in the lives of listeners worldwide.

This 25-year-old Mexican-American is an artist, rapper, and poet from the San Fernando Valley who, from a young age, has always been attuned to rhythms and beats. Born and raised in Canoga Park, California, Decent Da Don considers music a big part of his life and sees it still standing at the core of who he is in the future.

His love for the craft started with watching other writers, poets, and rappers from every corner of the world, particularly those from the dirty South, North, East, and the West Coast. Decent Da Don found inspiration in artists such as Big L, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and many more.

As Spanish was his first language, this poetry lover faced a lot of struggles learning and writing in English when he was young. But with time, Decent Da Don developed an affinity toward writing, absorbing the language better and more accurately. Writing words from the dictionary in hopes that he would see improvements, the act led to him creating melodies and rhymes in his head. Shortly afterward, he started recording and going to shows to perform live, falling in love even further with the art as it allowed him to express himself.

Today, driven to chase after his dreams, Decent Da Don is carving his own path toward the forefront of the music industry. With his music revolving around life in the ghetto and the struggles inherent in people’s lives, he highlights how, regardless of people’s backgrounds, they all can make each other better in any way.

Since he entered the music scene, Decent Da Don has received nods from listeners because of the ability of his songs to make people feel empowered. He is set to establish himself as an innovator with plans to transform the rap scene through his artistry and rap style.

Collecting valuable lessons about life and sharing them with others through words and melodies, Decent Da Don is also committed to serving as a role model and a positive influence. Additionally, because he has experienced firsthand the power of the arts in inspiring people to implement changes in their lives and strive to become better versions of themselves, he aims to become a source of motivation for others.

On top of evolving into a household name armed with his distinctive artistry, Decent Da Don hopes to headline big shows and collaborate with other artists. Furthermore, as an independent Mexican-American musician, he wishes to create an impact in his community and the lives of kids and adults.
