Grace Wan Pursues Talent and Passion to Achieve Success

Grace Wan’s Talent was so successful because she has never given up on her dreams and pursued her talent and passion for succeeding. She is more familiar, having experience working as a director, producer, actor, writer, singer, musician, creator, and drawer.

Canadian-born Grace Wan grew up in Alberta, Canada, with two younger siblings. Her parents moved from Hong Kong to Canada, and since then, Grace has completed her education.

Starting from Central Elementary School, Grace began taking ballet lessons from the age of 5 and went on to take lessons in skating, singing, piano and guitar in Citadel Middle School. During her education at Riverside Secondary School, Grace often showcased her piano and singing skills at talent shows.

She was then enrolled in acting lessons at Westcoast Actors Studio and continued to pursue the acting career that eventually led her to go to PAVI Film Production School for college to become a filmmaker.

Grace’s biggest challenge was that not every time she tried, everything was successful. Her advice to others struggling with the same issue is: Do not give up on your dreams. If, at first, you are not successful, try everything and do something different which can make you happy and successful.

If you’re in a band, don’t limit yourself to one instrument, sing, write, guitar, piano, songs, bass, drums.

Show your abilities and talents to everyone. Try everything, and that will lead you to become more successful than engaging in one occupation.

Music Observer’s Top 20 Artists

On the back of a pandemic and the restrictive year 2020, the year 2021 began with higher hopes and aspirations for every person who was affected in one way or another by the pandemic and the resulting lockdown. Unfortunately, for those in the music industry, the year 2020 gave them minimal opportunity to perform their materials and songs, sell their merchandise, and restricted them to relying on streaming numbers. Now, seven months into the year 2021, with most restrictions already being lifted, artists are beginning to go back into their arsenal to pull out songs that are even better than their 2020 releases. Below is a list of the top 20 artists of 2021.

  1. Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter who began music at a very young age and is one of the youngest music stars to date to go mainstream and achieve global renown.

It took his mother posting videos of teenage Justin performing, singing, and dancing on YouTube for him to go from being an untrained and unknown singer to a superstar with a huge record deal with Usher within two years. Justin Bieber has become the first solo artist to feature on the Top 40 with singles before the release of a debut album.

In 2009, Justin released the album My World, which went platinum in several countries. However, a series of significant media exposure from offensive activities led Justin to break from music and the limelight completely. He made a return in 2015 with his first number one song, “What Do You Mean?” In 2017, Justin collaborated with Luis Fonsi to release “Despacito,” a record-breaking and chart-topping single. In addition, his 2020 release of the album Changes affirmed Bieber’s place as the youngest artist to have seven albums reach the top spot on the Billboard Hot 200.

President Bill Clinton tweeted. “I loved Steve Bing very much, he had a big heart, and he was willing to do anything he could for the people and causes he believed in. I will miss him and his enthusiasm more than I can say, and I hope he’s finally found peace.”

Bing was known for being a L.A. socialite who had dated a lot of pretty girls and brought them to red carpets, at big-dollar benefits and courtside at Lakers games.

When he was at his 30’s, he was unexpectedly became part of high-profile lawsuits centering on his possible paternity of children that brought him media attention on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. A 2002 DNA test required by a British court showed that he was the father of the infant son of model and actress Elizabeth Hurley, whom he had dated.

The same year he sued movie mogul Kirk Krekorian, alleging Krekorian had hired a private detective to go through Bing’s trash to obtain DNA for another paternity test, this one to determine whether Bing was the father of the daughter born to Krekorian’s then-wife, tennis player Lisa Bonder. That lawsuit was settled out of court.

The two children, Damian Hurley and Kira Kerkorian, have been named in recent court fights over whether they will be heirs in the trust set up by Bing’s father.

Taylor Swift Was So Disappointed and Called Out U.S. Census for Excluding Transgender

The newly-awarded ‘Artist of the Decade’ by American Music Awards, Taylor Swift,  is always an increasingly brave vocal pop star and avid-supporter of the LGBTQ community, expressed her sentiments and demands for an explanation during the Friday (June 26) Stonewall Day live stream to commemorate the day and speak out against trans exclusion which really caught her very upset.

Being politically outspoken, helped ignite the gay rights movement.

“The Stonewall Inn has been such a symbol in the face of rebellion,” Swift said in her message. “I was lucky enough to get to perform at the Stonewall Inn last summer when my friend Jesse Tyler Ferguson invited me to crash his set,” she continued, calling back to her surprise intimate set on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

With her powerful speech, it made her fans feel something nostalgic and looking forward for more solutions and breaking the gender stigma in the society “[It was] a really good step forward with the Supreme Court ruling… but we still have so far to go with the LGBTQ community,” she said, referring to the recent ruling that prevents employers from discriminating against LGBTQ employees. “I got my census the other day and there were two choices: male and female. And that erasure was so upsetting to me.”

It is really evident from Swift’s music video, ‘You Need to Calm Down’ how she advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community and how vocal she is when her homies are bullied and denounced in the society.

Swift was upset and called out the absence of census options for trans and nonbinary citizens “a really brutal way of dismissing them” and wrapped up by saying this November, “We need to make sure we elect people who care about all communities.”

“When you don’t collect information on a group of people that means you have every excuse in the world not to support them. When you don’t collect data on a community, that’s a really brutal way of dismissing them. Obviously we all need to exercise our right to vote this year and check our absentee ballot policy in our states and we need to make sure we elect people who care about all communities”

In her message, she emphasized the importance of inclusion and the society and no entity should be left behind. Swift strongly pointed out that we are on this together and we must use our voice for the good of many people.

Drake Tigges: Seasoned Brand and Artist Development Manager Giving Talents a Shot at Fame

With all his dreams centered on building others’ dreams, Drake Tigges has earned himself the reputation of the one person that brands and artists can trust with their careers. Operating out of Nashville, Drake Tigges is the founder of Youngville Agency, a management and development firm that takes brands and artists from zero to hero. Drake’s journey started at an early age, and he found success quite early, too, when he began to learn everything about the music industry. This led him to establish Youngville Agency, which has grown into the powerhouse that it is today.

Learning every available marketing and campaign trick at 18 was enough to get him started with any artist and mold their career into what they desire. One thing Drake did to ensure longevity in the business was link up with the bigger names in the industry, such as Struggle Jennings, Jellyroll, Big Smo, BWA Ron and Michael Johnson (the UFC fighter). Building these connections early in his career set him up for success and soon gave him a level of credibility that made many independent brands and artists want to work with him.

Drake Trigges’ passion lies in helping brands grow, and he ensures that happens for every brand that chooses to work with him or his agency. He even takes things a notch higher by allowing the brands and artists to earn 100% of their income without taking any percentage. “At Youngville Agency, growth is what we’re passionate about, and we make our clients comfortable by focusing on just that rather than money or other stuff,” Drake says.

Youngville Agency’s value offering is to help artists and brands reach their full potential within the first 12 months through good content and excellent campaigns. One of the company’s most notable achievements is Urban Blaze, a country music singer who had only 217 followers when the agency signed him. At the age of 19, in less than two years, he has a song that made it to number 30 on the charts, more than 357 thousand streams, and verified social media handles. His success with Urban Blaze has further cemented his place as a brand manager of repute who knows his onions.

Drake Tigges is well-versed in the production of different music genres, and he understands what makes audiences gravitate toward a new artist or brand. He has established a culture at Youngville Agency that allows his clients to remain 100% independent while the agency delivers on its management and development promises within the fastest possible time.

Drake’s passion for music never waned at any point, and since his foray into the artist management scene, he has not looked back since. Growth is his major drive, and he keeps looking for new ways to keep his brand growing. His five-year goal is to become one of the most well-known talent development agencies in Nashville, Tennessee, and other parts of the United States. Youngville Agency thrives on the hard work that goes into quality content creation and effective branding for its clients and will like to shed more light on those aspects of its business. Learn more about Drake Trigges and Youngville Agency on the official Instagram page.

Katalxst: Jamie Smith’s Journey From the Basketball Court to the Entrepreneurial Space

It is not an uncommon occurrence for athletes to branch away from sports and delve into other ventures. Established athletes become investors, celebrities, or even entrepreneurs once they believe it is time for them to retire or decide they want to try something new. Jamie Smith is no different. Following her basketball career, she delved into entertainment and business, eventually creating many business fronts under her brand Katalxst.

Jamie Smith hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There she grew up and established herself as one of the most exciting prospects in women’s basketball. Jamie was highly sought-after and highly recruited as twenty Division 1 scholarship offers poured in from Miami, West Virginia, Alabama, Texas, Georgetown, Illinois, and more. She was also recognized as one of Adidas’ national Top 20.

Eventually, Jamie settled for St. Peter’s University, thriving as a critical contributor in the division before stumbling into a roadblock. She tore her ACL in her freshman year and opted to move to Morgan State University. There Jamie carried out her career, playing three years as the point guard and captain and helping them to their first-ever postseason play in history. Her success led to offers to play professionally overseas. As tempting as the opportunities were, Jamie declined, citing her injury as a factor.

Following graduation, Jamie Smith moved to Atlanta, where she decided to delve into the entertainment industry. The venture proved to be a wake-up call as Jamie discovered her natural talent in networking. She managed several talents and quickly established her name in the entertainment and music industry. Jamie became one of those people who always had key connections for what others were looking for. She also negotiated deals for athletes, stylists, companies, brand partnerships, and more.

While she was highly successful in her career, Jamie decided to move to New York and pursue a Master’s Degree in business Administration in 2016. Even as she studied, Jamie worked by assisting the women’s basketball program, bringing in talent. Her work caught the attention of a Division 1 university who offered her a full-time position as director of operations and assistant coach. For three years, Jamie coached Division 1 basketball and brought recruits whose arrivals made an immediate impact. Simultaneously, she continued to manage her artists.

Jamie Smith would later exercise her Master’s Degree by creating Katalxst in 2019, a brand that allowed her to provide various services that complement and display her all-around talents in business, from consultation to growing & scaling to management. Jamie extended her brand to include services beyond business and entertainment. Knowing that her company could do more, Katalxst was expanded and created a lifestyle clothing brand, real estate business, and a barbershop in Jamie’s hometown in early 2020.

By then, Jamie’s ventures were met with the onset of the pandemic, setting up another roadblock in her career. It was a difficult start as most businesses were forced to close shop. However, against all odds, Katalxst House of Styles saw great success, continuing to grow each month while complying with the new state regulations.

Within a short period, Katalxst Lifestyle Clothing Brand overtook Jamie’s most successful business, even beating out her music brand. She plans to continue building on her success as she recently purchased land in San Bernardino, California. Jamie Smith is set on returning to her roots and using the land to build a creative studio and athletic & training facility with 2023 as its opening year.
