Boygenius Announces North American Tour for Debut Album “The Record”

Boygenius, the supergroup comprising Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, are hitting the road in North America to promote their highly anticipated debut album, The Record.

The tour, which runs from June through August, follows their previously announced dates as part of the Re:Set concert series and features a lineup of talented musicians, including Carly Rae Jepsen, Bartees Strange, Claud, Broken Social Scene, and Illuminati Hotties.

The trio’s tour kicks off in June after a stop at Coachella and another California one-off in April. Fans across North America will have the chance to experience Boygenius’ unique sound, which is a blend of indie rock, folk, and Americana. The tour promises to be a wonderful experience for both long-time fans and those who are new to the band’s music.

Boygenius has been generating buzz since the release of their eponymous debut EP in 2018, which received critical acclaim for its hauntingly beautiful melodies and powerful lyrics. The group’s members have all enjoyed successful solo careers, with Bridgers, Dacus, and Baker each releasing acclaimed albums in recent years.

The Record marks the first time they have collaborated on a full-length project, and anticipation for the album has been building steadily since its announcement earlier this year.

The album features four singles, including “True Blue,” a melancholic and introspective song that showcases the group’s harmonies and songwriting prowess. “Emily I’m Sorry” is another standout track, with Bridgers taking the lead on vocals and the trio’s signature harmonies adding depth and emotion to the song’s lyrics.

Powerful Album and Group

The Record promises to be a poignant and powerful album, touching on themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Boygenius’ music has always been deeply personal, and their new material is sure to resonate with listeners on a visceral level.

Fans who are lucky enough to catch Boygenius on tour this summer can expect an unforgettable concert experience, with a lineup of talented musicians who are sure to put on a show that will be talked about for years to come. The group’s unique blend of indie rock, folk, and Americana is sure to captivate audiences and leave them wanting more.

Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus have all enjoyed successful solo careers, with each artist gaining a dedicated following for their unique and powerful music. Bridgers, in particular, has been making waves in the indie music scene since the release of her debut album, Stranger in the Alps, in 2017.

Baker, too, has gained a following for her emotional and introspective songwriting, with her album, Turn Out the Lights, receiving widespread critical acclaim in 2017. Dacus, meanwhile, has been praised for her poetic lyrics and powerful voice, with her album, Historian, being hailed as one of the best albums of 2018.

The trio’s self-titled EP was a perfect showcase of their individual talents, with each artist bringing their own unique sound to the project. Bridgers’ ethereal vocals and introspective lyrics combined perfectly with Dacus’ powerful voice and Baker’s raw emotional intensity, creating a sound that was both haunting and beautiful.

Captivating Audiences

Since the release of their EP, Boygenius has continued to captivate audiences with their live performances. The group’s harmonies are even more stunning in person, and their emotional delivery of their songs is truly something to behold.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the group, and in January 2022, they announced that they would be releasing their debut album, The Record.

The album, which was released on March 31, 2022, is a stunning showcase of the trio’s songwriting and vocal talents. The Record features songs that are both introspective and catchy, with the trio exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. The album’s lead single, “True Blue,” is a perfect example of the group’s emotive songwriting and beautiful harmonies.

Boygenius has been praised not only for their music but also for their collaboration and support of each other. In an industry that can often be cutthroat and competitive, the trio has formed a bond that is palpable in their music and their live performances.

Their support of each other is evident in the way they collaborate on their music, with each artist bringing their own unique sound and perspective to the project.
